Mentor Booths
In 2008 Mentor Booths are roundtable group discussion for young people who are developing self-employment / employment pathways and need some advice assistance with problem solving either input from other young people or mentors.
Booths fill a gap between one-to-one mentoring and guest speaking, but are also a way to catch up with others who are actively trying to get ahead. Booths usually incorporate the following:
- a group discussion on a set topic
- a dialogue one to one or with the larger group
- problem solving
- a description of the context for the problem or issue
- advice and suggestions
AND NOT ABOUT
- not about the young person’s personal issues
- not about providing expert definitive advice, only suggestions
- not about having all the answers.
Mentoring boths are planed for teh first Wednesday of the Month between 6-8
