Individual Mentoring
Individual arrangements can be facilitated between SCEEC members with mentors to help work on specific projects over a specific number of hours.
Mentors will have usually been part of the Slingshot Training and Mentoring program.
A New training program for mentors will begin in 2008 as the Slingshot Ttraining and Mentoring program is no longer operating. The new program will be developed to train others interested in assisting young people's development. Mentors who have worked with the SCEEC over the past years are highly valued and we hope to continue working with you
Although not refined at present, generally, Mentors will be encouraged to assist young people in developing employment pathways with an emphasis on personal development and management skills such as goal setting, skills auditing, presentation and negotiation skills, as well as providing an insight into the world of work, careers and employment.
These programs are yet to be developed. But to register any interest please contact
