| As part of Creating Connections Employment, Education and Training, Step Ahead are running WHEELS @ SCEEC
WHEELS is for young people between the ages of 16 and 24 (inclusive) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with links to the North West region. WHEELS offers driving lessons for young people who need to get their Learners or Provisional licence as well as learning / improving some general living and pre-employment skills.
Location : SCEEC - 10 Church Street, Fitzroy North
Timetable: Information session 28th April at 10am.
Course starts on the 5th May runs for 8 weeks, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am-2pm.
Skills include: RSA Certificate, First Aid Certificate, several driving lessons as well as looking for work and increasing communication

Education Employment and Training Assistance (EET)
As part of Creating Connections (Education, Employment and Training) Step Ahead currently provide pre-employment assistance to the young people living or who have connections with the North West region of Melbourne. This EET assistance focuses on young people (16-25) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and not engaged in education, employment or training.
Assistance can be one off, short term or as part of the WHEELS course.
EET Pathway assistance
This assistance is practical and focuses on the young person’s education, employment and training pathway and can be delivered via co-case management. Step Ahead offer support, advocacy and referral to both agencies and clients to assist with young people’s Education, Employment and Training pathways
Support is provided via skill development, this can include resume and cover letter writing, job search, occupation / qualification / course information, interview skills and techniques.
