Silkscreen Enterprise


Want to join a team to develop a social enterprise and create your own employment
opportunities?
Slingshot Community Enterprise and Employment Centre is offering young people 18-25
the opportunity to develop a silkscreen enterprise.
You will receive:
· Development of business skills
· Learn silk-screening skills/set up and run a silkscreen workshop
· Knowledge and support to develop a business plan
· Mentoring from a business mentors/ peer mentoring
- Opportunities to create your own income through t he enterprise
- Opportunities to develop your own work
What we want from you:
- Up to 6 months commitment to developing a social enterprise ( flexibility ensured!)
- 2 to 3 days per week including a hands on silkscreen training course, enterprise training
and the ability to work on jobs
· Work with others and a project manager
· Passion and ideas, and a willingness to learn
We want to develop a sustainable enterprise that can be an ongoing resource for
disadvantaged young people across Melbourne to further their employment and selfemploymentopportunities. SCEEC is supporting a community of young people who are
creative, interested in printing and T–shirt production, in fashion and design, image
making, marketing and business development, management
and developing a range of skills.
To be part of this project you will need to be:
· An Income support payment recipient
· Early school leaver or experience interrupted education/ training
· Unemployed or underemployed
· Referral from a welfare or employment program/ case manager
· Living in an unsupported environment or face barriers
