| Rooms at the SCEEC are beling used for co-location of MCM youth/housing services and are avavilable for businesses that offer strong employment/ engagement opportunities for young people (up unitl 2007 the focus on incubation was to provide a resource for young people to further their businesses)

Step Ahead (MCM) offers a meaningful service for 16-25 years olds, through linking affordable housing with an integrated support program. The model aims to highlight the direct link between how holistic support can lead to securing a satisfying job or employability and how this in turn can lead to a better quality of life. Model participants will be housed in long-term fully furnished self-contained units for up to three years and will receive an ongoing case-managed service and a structured program of learning, focusing upon education and work, independent living, personal and social issues and community and leisure activities.
Wheels program is run three- four times a year and assists young people to futher thier driving education and study employment pathways.
Education, Employment and Training assistance also available to young people linked to the North West region.

Creating Connections corordinates and supports integration of educaiton and training across the northwest Melbourne region as well as administering CEEP funding
Creating Connections Education Employment Pathways (CEEP) funding is a YHAP initiative aimed at strengthening planned pathways to independence through engagement in education, employment and training. CEEP brokerage funds are available to young people aged 15-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and who are supported by a homelessness assistance service (SAAP) to access education and employment options.

Youth Voice II Enterprise Project SCEEC is hosting the co-ordination and taining component of this
project. Some 15 young people are undertaking market research in three
Neighbourhood renewal sites assisted by three partner agencies:
Melbourne Citymission (Braybrook & SCEEC) Brotherhood of St Laurence (Frankston) and Uniting Care Cutting Edge (Shepparton). VUT is providing training and this research is looking at how young people transition from school to further education and the world of work and also will investigate the development /sustainability of a youth consultancy-enterprise using the experience, knowledge skills, networks and resources provided by the project. The a project committed to promoting the voice of engaged and disengaged young people on a range of policy and planning issues that directly impact on young people’s lives.
