Linking homelssness services with education, trianing and employment

Over the next three years the SCEEC will be developed as an employment education and training hub for disengaged and homeless young people aged 15-25 as part of the Stopover Youth precinct.
This new service will provide closer alignment with MCM core business and client base and strengthen funding opportunities based on the following:
- Alignment with New Federal government’s focus on training, skills development and homelessness
- Alignment with Victorian State government focus on employment education and training outcomes for young people within the SAAP services.
- Establishment of a comprehensive suite of employment education and training models across MCM services in Braybrook, Footscray and Nth Fitzroy
- Increased opportunity for co-location of MCM and partner agencies at the SCEEC site
- Increased opportunity for referral from MCM services and the wider sector including Neighbourhood Renewal sites
- Stronger evidence platform: continued research, policy and advocacy roles.
